“I never liked the confidence and supply agreement” – McHugh



The Education Minister claims he never liked the confidence and supply agreement that bound Fianna Fail and Fine Gael together in the last government.

As a former chief whip, Donegal TD Joe McHugh believes the confidence and supply agreement never supplied the kind of scrutiny of the opposition that was needed at the time.

Since the election, Deputy McHugh believes the incoming government need to reflect what the electorate voted for.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, he’s confirmed he expects Fine Gael to be in opposition for the next Dail term
