There is a Status Yellow rainfall warning in place for Connacht and Donegal from Met Eireann.
Heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Wednesday into Wednesday night, with 25 to 40mm expected.
Localised flooding is likely as the ground has still not recovered from previous heavy rain, nor have river levels.
The warning will come into effect from 4am on Wednesday morning until 4am Thursday morning.
