Count resumes in Sligo-Leitrim



Counting has resumed in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency.

The third count will be the distribution of the votes of the two lowest candidates Mary O’Donnell (Ind) and Oisín O’Dwyer (Renua). They were eliminated following Count 2 on Sunday night.

Sinn Féin’s Martin Kenny is the only candidate elected from Sligo-Leitrim to date. He topped the poll and was elected on the first count on Sunday night with 15,035.

Marian Harkin (Ind) is currently in second place wiht 7,462 votes. Mark MacSharry (FF) is third on 7.182 with Eamon Scanlon (FF) next on 6,355.
Fine Gael’s Frank Feighan is still in the mix too on 5,457 with his running mate Thomas Walsh on 4,809.
