Founding member of FG’s first NI Branch expelled from party

The founding member of Fine Gael’s first Northern Ireland branch has been expelled from the party.

The membership of Jude Perry, a native of Ballymote and son of former Fine Gael Minister, John Perry, was revoked after it was found he bought ads on Facebook promoting his father’s election bid as an Independent in the upcoming general election, according to the Irish Independent.

In a Tweet this afternoon, Jude Perry says he has ‘yet to receive any formal notice or explanation’.

He goes on to ask; ‘where is the due process?’ and wonders if there is a ‘vendetta’ against his family.
