Schools across Sligo and Leitrim are set to receive grants for ICT infrastructure and equipment as part of the government digital strategy expenditure.
This announcement was made by Fine Gael General Election Candidate and Sligo County Councillor, Thomas Walsh who along side Minister for Education, Joe McHugh are granting money to local primary and secondary schools across the region to develop IT infrastructure.
As part of this €50 million euro investment, all primary and post primary schools will be able to purchase key technology equipment such as PC’s, laptops, tablets, projectors and cloud based tools such as software applications and online storage.
