Animal dumped in Newtownmanor not thought to be calf but young deer

It’s now believed that the remains of an animal found dumped with other items in the Newtownmanor area of north Leitrim were not those of a calf, as had been originally thought.

Sources tell Ocean FM News the animal may have been a young deer.

Other material found dumped at the location included household items and a bullbar from a Jeep.

It’s now thought the Jeep may have been in collision with the deer, damaging the bullbar, after which both the bullbar and deer were then dumped, in what is a remote location in a rural scenic area.
