People in Sligo left without a bus service



A Sligo Councillor says a large area of Sligo town that once had a regular bus service no longer has such a service.

Fianna Fail Councillor Rosaleen O’Grady says people in the Maugheraboy, Ballydoogan, Tracey Avenue, Larkhill and Rosehill areas don’t have access to a regular bus service, despite a bus running about 13 times a day on the nearby Strandhill Road.

Sligo County Council agreed this week to a motion from Cllr O Grady calling on Bus Eireann and the National Transport Authority to provide a service to the areas she mentioned:
