Leitrim Councillor demands explanations on escalating trolley crisis

Calls are being made on the HSE by Leitrim County Council to establish what extra funding strategies and additional resources were put in place to solve the ongoing trolley crisis in the Country’s hospitals in 2019.

The Council are to contact the HSE after Sinn Fein Councillor Brendan Barry raised the issue at this week’s meeting of the local authority.

Speaking to Ocean FM news, Cllr Barry says that the FLU season in full swing, trolley figures are continuing to soar and unless more staff and beds are introduced to the Country’s hospitals the situation will continue to escalate.
