A Donegal TD is calling on the government is continue its efforts on behalf of the undocumented Irish in the United States.
Fianna Fail TD Charlie McConalogue is making the call while welcoming news from Tanaiste Simon Coveney that the government is working on a visa process with the U.S.
It’s as many undocumented Irish emigrants in the U.S. are unable to return home for Christmas as they would not be allowed reenter the U.S. on their return.
However, Deputy McConalogue acknowledged that the effort to make progress on the issue of the undocumented Irish in the U.S. is being made against a difficult political backdrop at present.
