Sligo Leitrim TD says the only ‘driverless car in Ireland’ is the government.
The Fianna Fail Spokesperson on Transport, Marc MacSharry, is reacting to comments by Transport Minister, Shane Ross, who is proposing the testing of autonomous, or self driving, cars on public roads.
Deputy MacSharry says there are a range issues that need addressing, test driverless cars on public roads is not one of them.
