N4 closed after collision at Chieftain monument



The main N4 between Sligo and Dublin remains closed after a serious collision which has occurred , close to the monument of the Gaelic Chieftain just outside Boyle.

 

It’s understood at least two vehicles were involved in the collision.

 

Gardai, ambulance personnel and the fire brigade services are currently attending the scene.

 

The road has been closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
