St Naul’s round off memorable 2019 with u21 title



There was more silverware for St Naul’s GAA club in Donegal on Saturday when the club’s under 21 footballers won the county under 21 ‘B’ football championship title with a 0-14 to 1-7 win against Termon at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny.

Shaun Campbell’s side were beaten finalists in the previous two under 21 finals but here they ensured it was third time lucky with an accomplished display which saw the Mountcharles/Inver men run out four point winners.

It their first under 21 county title since 1999.

This win, along with the club’s recent intermediate championship success, rounds off a memorable 2019 for St Naul’s.

Peadar Mogan capped a Man of the Match display by contributing 0-8 of his side’s tally. He spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Conor Breslin after the win:

In the under 21 ‘A’ championship semi-final at Fintra, Naomh Conaill beat Killybegs after extra-time on a final scoreline of 5-16 to 4-14. Naomh Conaill will now play the holders St Eunan’s in the county final.
