A furious row has broken out between residents of Cartron Estate in Sligo and traveller community representatives over claims that a petition was drawn up to oppose a member of the travelling community being allocated a house there. The residents insist no such petition exists, while Bernadette Maughan of the Sligo Traveller Support group claims one local councillor informed her of the petition
