Farmers should be exempt from carbon tax on fuels.
That’s according to a former minister for communications, climate action and the environment.
Roscommon East Galway TD Deputy Denis Naughten has made the calls citing the lack of electric tractors, which has resulted in farmers having no alternative options to avoid carbon tax.
