Fianna Fáil Transport Spokesperson calls on government to intervene in ongoing ‘Go Safe’ dispute

Fianna Fáil’s Transport Spokesperson is calling on government ministers to prevent another strike by speed camera staff next week.

Sligo/Leitrim TD, Marc MacSharry, is making the call as Go Safe and their staff are engaged in a long-running dispute over pay and working conditions.

Some progress was made in talks this week, but there’s still no resolution to Siptu’s money demands.

The trade union says staff will take industrial action for a third time next Thursday.

Deputy MacSharry says it may be time for the government to intervene.
