A Sligo/Leitrim TD is criticising Transport Minister Shane Ross, saying 150 million euro worth of investment in the rail network announced yesterday will be of no benefit to passengers travelling on the regularly overcrowded Sligo/Dublin line.
Minister Ross announced government approval for the purchase of 41 additional rail carriages to increase capacity across the greater Dublin area.
Fianna Fail Transport Spokesman Marc MacSharry also claims there was nothing new in the minister’s announcement.
