Girls left shaken after Sligo Mental Health function is hijacked



During today’s ‘North West Today’ John Lynch was joined by a number of guests to reflect back on events which took place on Tuesday night at a function which was being jointly run by Sligo LGFA and the HSE.

 

The function was arranged to highlight the partnership between the HSE and the SLIGO Ladies Gaelic Footballers.

 

A number of special guests were invited including MEP Maria Walsh and Coran Staunton.

 

When the Midlands  West MEP, Maria Walsh was due to take to the podium, Peadar Hopkins disrupted proceeding and raised concerns he had over how Walsh and other Fine Gael MEP’s had voted in a motion regarding the search and rescue of migrants in the Mediterranean.
