Donegal TD raises concern over parent support service funding being withdrawn at the end of the year

Funding for a parent support service in Co. Donegal is being withdrawn at the end of this year.

Parent Stop may be forced to close it’s doors next year if funding is not approved according to Donegal Fianna Fail TD and Leas Cheann Comhairle, Pat ‘The Cope’ Gallagher.

Set up in 2005, the charity provides free supports for parents across Co. Donegal with offices in different areas.

In 2017, the service helped out 621 families in the region.

Deputy Gallagher tells OceanFM News he is calling on the Children’s Minister, Katherine Zappone, to ‘pull together’ a number of Departments to ensure funding.
