Ballisodare’s 4-in-a-row remembered

Tourlestrane’s completing their four-in-a-row bid last Sunday bridged the 56 year gap in Sligo GAA history since a club side last completed the feat.

Ballisodare won the fourth of their successive four titles in 1963 – beating Craobh Rua by 8 points in a replay.

Bill Weir is one of the few surviving members of that 1963 team and he reminisces with Austin O’Callaghan about winning four-in-a-row and the GAA landscape in Sligo at that time.
