Today is the deadline for slurry spreading — but the Fianna Fail spokesman on agriculture is asking that it be extended.
Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue says the extension is vital because of the amount of rainfall.
He is now asking the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to extend the deadline.
He says farmers cannot always farm by dates on the calendar.
