Fine Gael to hold selection meetings on Monday Next

The Fine Gael parliamentary Party will conduct a number of meetings on Monday next with interested party members in relation to selecting a candidate to run along with Frank Feighan in the Sligo/Leitrim/South Donegal/ North Roscommon Constituency in the next general election.

It’s the second time that Party HQ have had to select a candidate after Cllr Sinead Magurie and former TD, Gerry Reynolds, the two original candidates selected to run at a party convention both ruled themselves to contest the election.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM news, Director of elections for the Fine Gael Party, Enda Candon explained what will take place at the meetings, and he also confirmed that it still remains unclear whether sitting Sligo TD, Tony McLoughlin will be submitting his name for inclusion to contest the election in the four seater Constituency.
