Residents in Donegal has once again felt the brunt of flooding after Storm Lorenzo



Residents in Donegal has once again felt the brunt of flooding after Storm Lorenzo after a local Cllr claims it could have been prevented.

Clarendon Drive which is located along the River Eske, was completely flooded after the banks burst at around 6am on Friday morning and the same thing occurred just over 3 years ago which a previous storm.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal Municipal District Cllr Noel Jordan explains what he say saw after the wake of Lorenzo:

According to Cllr Jordan, promises from Minister Kevin Boxer Moran where made to the residents of Clarendon Drive and the surrounding area that this type of flooding would never happen again as money will be invested into flood defensive.

He also claims some type of emergency accommodation needs to be put in place for the people affected;
