Donegal flooding could have been prevented

The recent flooding in Donegal caused by Storm Lorenzo could have been averted had prevention measure been put in place to help prevent such a disaster.

That’s according to Donegal Sinn Fein Councillor Noel Jordan.

The Flooding which occurred last Friday has devastating consequences on property, local businesses and family homes in the town.

Cllr Jordan is calling on the Government to sanction a full technical assessment of the town and environs, so that a comprehensive strategy can be put in place.

He says the impact of flooding on local residents is destroying their lives, and has called on Minister Kevin Boxer Moran to take action to ensure the proper flood measures are put in place.
