Staffing issues need to be addressed in St Cecilia’s

Fresh calls have been placed on the Government to address staffing issues facing St.Cecilia’s School.

The special education school based in Sligo town has 56 students waiting on a speech/language and behavioural therapy specialist.

It’s been claimed that without funding from the Government, interviews which already taken place to fill the position at the school will be in vain.

Sligo Leitrim Fianna Fail TD, Deputy Eamon  Scanlon believes that if this issue is not resolved, students at St Cecilias will be impacted in the short and indeed for the remainder of their lives.

Deputy Scanlon has called on upon the minister of education to ensure this funding is secured as soon as possible;
