Future of St Mary’s College finally secured



There’s positive news for the students, staff and parents of a Sligo Secondary school this morning with confirmation being provided that St Mary’s College in Ballisodare will remain open.

 

 

The decision has been made by the School’s trustees after a  local campaign persuaded them to reverse an earlier decision to close the school.

 

The Catholic Education Irish Schools Trust (CEIST) met with the parents and staff members from the school over the weekend and confirmed that they are committed to keeping the school open.

 

Local councillor Marie Casserly, is a teacher at St Mary’s College say’s it a relief to finally get confirmation that the college will remain open.
