Cllr Sinead Maguire announces she will not contest GE due to family reasons



Sinead Maguire has announced today that she will not be contesting the next general election.

The Sligo councillor was selected to contest the next election by Fine Gael delegates in the Sligo/Leitrim/South Donegal and North Roscommon constituency at a party convention in 2018.

Both candidates selected at that convention,  Gerry Reynolds and Sinead Maguire have now opted not to contest the general election.

Announcing her decision on North West today, Cllr Maguire explained she made the decision not to run in the next general election for family reasons.
