A Leitrim PPN initiative that created an online map showing the locations of public defibrillators throughout the county has been shortlisted for a prestigious local government award.
The project, which is still ongoing, was undertaken by Leitrim Public Participation Network, working with a number of other groups.
The PPN gives community and voluntary groups representation and input into county council structures and committees, as well as those for other agencies.
Tracy Ferguson, resource worker with Leitrim PPN, has been telling Ocean FM News about the initiative, as well as courses it is providing next week in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
