Sligo County Council have unanimously backed a motion that calls for the return of waste collection to the local authority.
Sinn Fein Councillor Chris MacManus brought the motion at yesterday meeting of Sligo County Council.
Councillor MacManus believes that returning ownership to the council is ‘desperately needed.’
Speaking to Ocean FM, he says household bills are crippling families.
