Gardai continue investigation into South Sligo burglary that left man injured



Gardaí are continuing their investigation into a burglary that left a South Sligo man in his 60’s injured.

The incident took place yesterday, Bank Holiday Monday, at around 9pm at a property at Cloonloo, Gurteen.

A sum of cash was taken and the man was taken to Sligo University Hospital, suffering minor injuries sustained during the burglary.

Two men, one in his 20s, the other in his 30s, were arrested shortly after at Wolfe Tone Square,

Road closures were in place and traffic was diverted by gardai following the incident.

The two men remain in Garda custody.
