A campaigner for improved water quality in the Lough Talt area of South Sligo says there’s a lot of preparation yet to be done before work can start on the actual upgrade of the water treatment plant in the area.
Kellie Cadman, of the Lough Talt Water Warriors, says she is sceptical that the deadline for completion of the work in 12 to 14 months will be met.
She made her comments following Sligo Fine Gael Councillor Martin Connolly saying earlier this week that work on the water treatment plant at Lough Talt will start next month.
