An event highlighting the importance of protecting our bee species is due to take place in Ballymote next week.
The ‘Save the Bees’ event is being hosted by the Europe Direct Information Centre and will be held in Ballymote Community Library next Thursday at 2:30pm.
It’s to raise awareness of a European Citizens Initiative which hopes to raise one million signatures to call on European Commission to ban harmful pesticides which is resulting in a sharp decline in bees.
