Concerns raised over the number of attacks on ambulance and emergency personnel

There is concern over the increasing incidences of attacks and abuse of ambulance and emergency personnel.

There have been 125 attacks on ambulance staff since 2017.

New figures show 57 paramedics have been physically assaulted when responding to emergency calls.

12 staff were forced to miss work as a result of injuries sustained.

As well as physical injuries, emergency staff have also been subject to verbal abuse.
