Four Masters win All-Ireland Féile title

Four Masters boys under 14 gaelic footballers were among the big winners at the 2019 John West All-Ireland Féile Peile na nÓg, hosted by Connacht GAA, at the weekend.

The Féile is Ireland biggest underage football festival with 358 girls and boys under 14 teams from Ireland and overseas taking part in cup and shield competitions.

The Donegal town club won the Division 2 Féile cup title with a 1-9 to 0-5 win agianst Claremorris of Mayo in Sunday’s decider.

Four masters manager Damien Dunnion spoke to Ocean FM Sport about his side’s ‘magical’ weekend on his way home to Donegal on the team bus:

There were several other memorable performances from local teams with St Mary’s GAA Club from Sligo reaching the Division 4 cup final, only to lose out narrowly to Clonguish by 1-7 to 0-7.

Annaduff of Leitrim won the Division 11 title.

In the girls competition, there were All Ireland shield titles for Eoghan Rua (Div 8),  and Drumcliffe/Rosses Point (Div 10) – while two other Sligo clubs CT Gaels (Div 9) and St John’s (Div 10) lifted cup titles.
