Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are three of the least expensive counties in the country to buy a house.
That’s according to the latest report from property website daft.ie which shows prices in Leitirm are the lowest in the country at €137,000.
The average price of a house in Sligo is €146,000 while it’s just slightly higher in Donegal at just under €147,000.
Despite this the cost of buying a house still increased across all three counties compared to the same period last year.
Leitrim has seen the greatest price increase out of the three counties where the cost of buying a house rose by 3.9%, this was followed by Sligo on 2.8% and Donegal with 1.3% rise.
Economist with Daft.ie Ronan Lyons says housing prices are leveling off around the region.
