An Post have decided not to grant an extension to the closing date of Kilcar Post Office which is due to close it’s doors for the final time on June 29th.
The decision has been criticised by members of the save Kilcar Post office Action group.
They have expressed their disappointment that they have not been afforded the same opportunity as other post office action groups to lodge a submission well in advance of proposed closure.
Donegal TD and Leas Cheann Comhairle, Pat the Cope Gallagher says he hopes to raise the matter with the minister for communications Richard Bruton later today.
