Leitrim footballers no match for Clare



Leitrim footballers bowed out of the 2019 All-Ireland footballers on Saturday evening when they were beaten by Clare in Carrick-on-Shannon by 3-17 to 0-17.

Goals from Jamie Malone, Clare captain Gary Brennan and Eimhin Courtney guided the banner county to a comprehensive win over Terry Hyland’s side.

There was a lovely moment at half-time in the game when Leitrim’s victorious Lory Meagher Cup hurlers earlier in the day were introducded to the crowd at Carrick-on-Shannon.
