Augustine Gallagher, Meenacahan, Inver, Co Donegal. Peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town. Reposing at his home today until 11pm. Rosary at 10pm.  Removal on Saturday morning for 12noon funeral mass in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.

 

Bert Beirne, Elmwood Terrace, Killybegs, Co. Donegal. Remains reposing at the residence of his daughter Laura Gormley, Castlereagh, Bruckless until 11pm today.   Removal on Saturday morning at 10.30am to St. Mary’s Church, Killybegs for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the National Council of the Blind. Rosary at 9pm tonight, Friday.

 

Andy Elliott, Screen, Donegal Town.  Reposing at his late residence today until 10pm, and Saturday from 2pm to 10pm.  Funeral Service in Laghey Parish Church at 3pm on Sunday, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.  House private on the morning of the funeral please.  Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to Donegal Community Hospital Patient’s Comfort Fund, care of George Irwin Funeral Directors, or any family member.

 

Mark Sheridan, 95 Doorly Park, Sligo. Suddenly. Reposing at the Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo, on Sunday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm. Funeral will arrive to St Anne’s Church, Sligo, on Monday morning, for Requim Mass at 11am, with burial afterward in Sligo Cemetery.

 

 

Michael Griffin, Ardeskin, Donegal Town (formerly of Station Road, Mountcharles). Peacefully at his home. Michael’s body has been donated to the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin for medical research. A wake will take place in Gallagher’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles today until 9pm. A mass to celebrate his life will take place in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles on Saturday 15th June at 8.30pm.  No flowers please. Donations in lieu if so desired to the Donegal Hospice, c/o Gallagher Funeral Directors, Mountcharles or any family member. Family home in Mountcharles is private to family and close friends only please.

 

John McCloskey, Darney, Bruckless, Co Donegal. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.  Remains reposing today Friday at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Ardara until 8pm, followed by removal to his residence.  Funeral mass on Saturday at 11 o’clock in the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless with burial afterward in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Donegal Hospice, care of any family member. House private please.

 

Oliver Casserley, Tullybeg, Ballygawley, Co Sligo (formerly Meelragh-Nagur, Bornacoola, Co Leitrim). Remains reposing at his family home today from 6-9pm and Saturday from 4-9pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 4pm in the Church of the Assumption, Sooey, with burial afterwards in Sooey Cemetery. House private on Sunday morning please. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation. C/o McGowan Funeral Directors, Dromod. Donation box in Church.  Please note there will be a one way traffic system in place to family home with entrance from Ballygawley Cross. Follow directional signs.

 

Brendan Walsh, Curry Village, Curry Co. Sligo. Unexpectedly at the North West Hospice Sligo after a short illness.   Remains reposing at his home on Saturday from 5pm to 10pm and on Sunday from 3pm to 8pm. Funeral mass on Monday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Curry at 12noon followed by burial afterwards in Bunnacrannagh Cemetery.   House private on Monday morning please.  Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the North West Hospice Sligo.
