The issue of illegal dumping has hit the north Leitrim once again over the weekend with reports of rubbish being dumped close to the Glenfarne forest and lake.
The rubbish was discovered at a time when large numbers of people were in the area for a major charity fun run which was taking place in the area.
Local Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says it was a very disappointing experience for everyone in the Glenfarne area.
