Further Jobs boost for Kilkenny & Dublin



Immedis is to create over 200 new jobs in Ireland by the end of next year.

The company develops payroll and tax services and software for multinational companies.

The new positions – in Dublin and Kilkenny – will be in tax, compliance, IT, software development, marketing, finance, and sales.

A Dublin TD has called for a ban on hotels from using mini bottles of toiletries.

Noel Rock says such a move would be a ‘simple and proactive step towards reducing plastic waste.’

The Fine Gael TD says hotels have many other options, including refillable dispensers and zero-waste products.

In the UK, a group of MPs will question a senior official from Huawei later.

The US has led allegations that the Chinese tech firm can be used by Beijing for spying – which the company denies.

Its Global Cyber Security and Privacy Officer will answer questions on its possible involvement in helping to build the UK’s 5G network.
