Planning permission has been granted for a maritime centre in Donegal Town.
The new two-story building with viewing balconies and boat storage will be located at the pier in the town.
Donegal Bay Rowing Club and Gym and the Donegal Dragon Boat Club are behind the project which it’s hoped will increase tourism in the area.
Former Independent Cllr Seamus Maguire, who has been working on the development, says land acquisition will be the next step in the process.
