Health Minister urged to review the rescheduling of medical procedures

The Department of Health are being called on to urgently examine why they are rescheduling procedures for a number of people across the northwest with short notice.

The matter has been raised by Fianna Fáil TD for Sligo-Leitrim, Eamon Scanlon TD.

Deputy Scanlon says he is aware of cases where those waiting for serious procedures have had their procedures cancelled and re-scheduled in Galway University Hospital.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM, the Sligo based TD says this is leading to stress for the patients involved and their families.
