Spaces in a car park at one of Sligo’s leading seaside areas are to be made larger.
The layout of the car park at the promenade in Strandhill will be redesigned into a diagonal formation, similar to what has been done in the Wine Street Car Park in Sligo town.
Fianna Fail Councillor and election candidate Tom MacSharry says the spaces are too narrow, so much so that he noticed vehicles being damaged, with it often difficult for older people in particular to get out of their vehicles.
