Farmers protesting against AIB decision to sell off certain loans



A number of farmers have gathered outside AIB’s Headquarters in Dublin to protest against the banks decision to sell off certain farmer loans.

AIB is holding its AGM there today, just weeks after the bank confirmed it would be selling off 2,200 non-performing loans to a US fund.

The President of the IFA says this will affect a large number of farmers throughout the country, and that today’s protest is “just the start”.
