For the second day running, Sligo University Hospital is ranked second in the country for hospitals with the highest numbers of people waiting on hospital beds.
The latest INMO trolley watch figures shows there are currently 50 people waiting on beds in Sligo, second only to Limerick, where the number stands at 55.
There are also 30 people waiting on hospital beds at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The number today for the country as a whole stands at 631, which is the highest figure recorded so far in 2019.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Sligo Leitrim TD Martin Kenny says the there are a number of contributing of factors to the figures being high in Sligo.
