A Sligo Fianna Fail Cllr is calling on Sligo County Council to deal with what he describes as scrap dismantling and disposal operation at Connaughton Road Cark Park in Sligo Town.
The motion was put forward at Monday’s meeting of Sligo County Council by Fianna Fail Cllr Tom MacSharry who says he has received over 100 complaints from residents and business owners on the issue.
In response to the motion, Director of Services Tom Kilfeather says the council has put considerable time and resources into resolving the issue.
Cllr MacSharry says the area is a disgraceful blight on the landscape of the heart of Sligo.
