Strandhill’s John McDermott won the men’s 400 metres for athletes over 75 years of age at the World Masters Championships in Poland.
The Sligo AC athlete won the final in an impressive time of 64 seconds.
His success follows numerous medals for Finn Valley Atheltic club athletes from Donegal at the championships.
