Road safety concerns for pupils at Ballisodare school

There are safety concerns for children crossing the road at a primary school in Ballisodare, Co Sligo.

Local election candidate Amanda Gallagher is seeking speed ramps to be installed close to St John’s National School as she says it is extremely dangerous for pupils who use the back gate to the school.

It’s understood this entrance is used by many children in the community who either walk or cycle to school.

Independent local election candidate, Amanda Gallagher, says she has contacted Sligo County Council on the issue.
