A public meeting will take place in the Mayflower Community Centre in Drumshanbo tomorrow evening to promote the community banking model.
The event is being organised by independent local election candidate Sean Wynne.
The Guest speaker for tomorrow’s event is the Joint Chair of the Public Banking forum, Seamus Maye.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Mr Maye outlined how the Ireland should copy the banking habits of other European countries including Germany.
