County council representatives from Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal are representing their counties abroad during the St Patrick’s Day festivities.
Leitrim is being represented by Cathaoirleach Sean McGowan and Deputy Chief Executive Vincent Dwyer, who are in the U.S.
Sligo County Council is represented in U.S by Cathaoirleach Cllr Martin Baker and Chief Executive Ciarán Hayes.
Donegal council delegations are travelling to the US and Rudolstadt in Germany.
The US delegation will travel to Philadelphia, New York and Boston.
Garry Martin, Director of Service, is accompanying Cathaoirleach Seamus O’Domhnaill and Leas Chathaoirleach Martin Harley on this trip.
Cllr Ian McGarvey, Cathaoirleach of Letterkenny Municipal District is visiting Rudolstat, where he will attend the St Patrick’s Day Parade and further enhance the relationship between Letterkenny and Rudostadt since the signing of a Twinning agreement last year.
