Sligo Races winner lands Cheltenham success



Eglantine Du Seuil, a winner at the Sligo Races last year, won the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham on Thursday at odds of 50/1.

Trained by Willie Mullins, the horse had not run since last September in Listowel – but with Noel Fehily aboard, won the final race of the day at Prestwick park. Afterwards, Fehilyaged 43, announced his plans to retire before the end of the season.

Previously trained in France, Eglantine Du Seuil won her debut race in Sligo, the Hop House 13 Lager Mares Maiden Hurdle in August 2018.
